Alpha Kappa Alpha Day
So let it be declared, February 1, 2025 is Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Day in the State of New York as proclaimed by our State Senate Majority Leader, Andrea Stewart-Cousins, and Westchester County as declared by the Board of Legislators.
Diaper Donations
On February 1, 2025 Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Pi Iota Omega Chapter held a Diaper Drive during the Cluster III Founder's Day event in Tarrytown, NY. Members of the sorority brought in 9719 diapers and 477 packages of wipes to donate to the Diaper Bank for Westchester. Those diapers will keep approximately 165 babies clean and dry this month.

MLK Day of Service
On January 20, 2025 Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Pi Iota Omega chapter and Zeta Nu Omega chapter came together for their annual MLK Day of Service at Trinity Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in New Rochelle, NY. Each year the chapters make sandwiches for the homeless, donate clothing and shoes, clean the pantry and sort the kitchen shelves.
In addition it was also our 2nd annual dental kit, "The Healthy Mouth/Healthy Body Awareness Campaign".
